Contemporary Romance | 64,000 words

Fiery Brazilian documentary filmmaker Vanessa Henriquez lands a career-making exposé on Miami’s most elusive real estate and hospitality mogul, Liam Ashford, her high school nemesis. Once a cold bully, Liam is now vexingly charming, irresistibly intelligent, and unnervingly perceptive, the one person who somehow sees straight through her. But if Vanessa wants the payday that could help fund her sister’s care back in Brazil, she can’t afford to turn the assignment down.

As Vanessa shadows Liam through late-night meetings, charity galas and the occasional 5am workout, she quickly realizes that the past she took for granted with Liam, might have just steamed from her own insecurities. There’s more to him than what she expected, including a secret that could bring down his entire empire, a hidden artistic proclivity, a difficult relationship with his Cuban father who works hard to erase their heritage, and the loss of a mother.

But when Vanessa's boss pressures her to expose Liam's flaws and tank his reputation to boost the documentary's viewership, her heart and her career collide. If she slanders Liam, his new appointment as CEO from his father will backtrack and the company’s future will plummet, if she doesn’t, she’ll be fired, missing out on the money she urgently needs to help her sister. Will she secure the funds, or will she risk it all and finally choose her own heart?

Ary arrives at Ascencia Academy expecting a haven for wielders, but finds a ruthless institution where fading powers push the weak to their limits, and failure means death. Here, rare abilities are as much a shackle as they are a gift.

When a nearly extinct element awakens within her, Ary hides it. That kind of power draws attention, and attention draws those who would exploit her.

Two men may be her only allies. Kael, infuriating and sharp-tongued, ignites a fire within her she doesn’t understand. Tayr, charming and magnetic, is bound to her in ways she can’t explain. But trusting the headmaster’s sons is dangerous.

As they train together, sparring on the mats and wielding elements deep within the lush, wild jungle, tension builds, blurring the line between rivalry and desire. With the bonding ceremony approaching, a ritual meant to bind souls for greater power, Ary must choose between the two brothers.

But when the ancient Spirits reveal the ceremony has been corrupted, draining wielders instead of strengthening them, Ary must risk the very magic she fought to hide… or be drained of it herself.

Laysa was raised in the shadow of dragon attacks, knowing only fire and death. When a dragon spared her life as a child, her king saw opportunity. Forged into a weapon, she’s trained to destroy the Fae of the neighboring lands—and their dragons. Laysa will do whatever it takes to prove she belongs, earn their trust, and fulfill her mission: infiltrate the enemy kingdom, assassinate its leaders, and end the war.

But when she’s captured behind enemy lines, the impossible happens. The same dragon that once spared her chooses her as its rider.

Marked as one of them, Laysa is forced into the dragon rider initiation, and into a dangerous lie. To survive those who want her dead, she must pose as the lover of Aiden, the infuriating Fae prince who irks her at every turn, yet sees her more clearly than anyone ever has.

What begins as a performance between enemies soon blurs into something real. Aiden challenges everything she’s been taught to believe, and everything she thought she wanted.

But when Laysa uncovers the truth, that the war she’s fought her whole life was built on a lie, and that humans may have started it, she must decide where her loyalty lies. With her people… or with the ones she was sent to destroy.
